These filters reduce contrast and create a soft halo around the highlights. Softens contrast by helping to balance the tonal range among highlights and shadows. They are greatly improved the softening and beautification of the human face, which can soften the wrinkles, spots, pores, etc. Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft focus filter, Pro Mist filters provide little loss of detail across the image.
