This Kodak 178mm f2.5 Aero-Ektar is in pretty rough shape, so here’s what’s up: The glass has a fair bit of internal flecks, both paint and metallic. The rear element surround is dented; the rear element is visibly intact, though. Light edge fungus, no no separation, some coating wear which won’t affect imaging. Diaphragm works. Cosmetic condition, you might have inferred by now, is not wonderful, with substantial paint and finish wear. So, if you are looking for a very nice Aero-Ektar, this ain’t it. However, if you are looking for a functional Aero-Ektar that will do the Aero-Ektar thing at a substantial discount, this lens could be just the ticket. Covers 4×5.
