The Rode Videomic NTG is a compact camera-mountable shotgun microphone with some unique features: you can use its 3.5mm connection with a smartphone, tablet, camera, or audio recording device- or you can use it as a USB mic, in which case that 3.5mm plug becomes a headphone jack for audio monitoring.
