The Zoom F1 is a very compact audio recorder that can be used as a, you know, very compact audio recorder. But it’s small enough, with the included lavalier mic, to be used as a beltpack recorder for voice recording where you’d otherwise use a wireless lav system. Quality is excellent, as you might imagine, with bitrates to 24bits at 96kHz, and direct internal recording means that you don’t have to worry about signal interference or connection glitches. Runs on a pair of AAA batteries.
