The Nikon 105mm f2.8G ED AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor is a true macro lens that provides 1:1 magnification without extension tubes. A modern full-frame lens with quick AF-S focusing and a built-in image stabilizer, this Micro-Nikkor is compatible with any F-mount camera that can control lens aperture (there’s no physical aperture ring). That means it will work with any Nikon DSLR, but also a few autofocus film SLRs, like the F5 and F100. It also makes a nice portrait lens, if you ever get tired of macrophotography.
