The Exakta RTL 1000 is a solid East German 35mm SLR camera made by VEB Pentacon in Dresden in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Unlike earlier Exakta models with their left-handed shutter releases and quirky ergonomics, the RTL 1000 offers a more conventional design, similar in feel to Praktica cameras of the same era.
