The Asahi Pentax Spotmatic, serial number 3233708, is one of the most iconic 35mm SLR film cameras of the 1960s. Manufactured by Asahi Optical Co. in Japan, the Spotmatic was revolutionary for introducing Through-The-Lens (TTL) metering, allowing photographers to get more accurate exposures using the actual light coming through the lensan innovation that set the standard for SLRs that followed.
It uses the universal M42 screw mount, making it compatible with a wide variety of lenses, including the legendary Super-Takumar series.
