Description
The Bell & Howell Focus Matic Auto 35/2.8 is a simple35mm camera with a weird (but strangely effective?) mechanical “autofocus” setting. Focus-Matic works like this: You point the camera at the baseline of your subject, which displaces an indicator in the viewfinder. You then turn the actual focus ring to match this setting, recompose, and shoot. It… sort of works! The camera also features a Selenium-cell automatic exposure system, effective for outdoor shooting under most conditions.
