Description
The Coman KX3939 is a compact tripod that’s half midrange, half entry-level, with decent quality metal hardware at the leg hinge and, a bit inexplicably, plastic leg locks. The metal is that mysterious painted-surface stuff that Amazon listings like to call aluminum, but is almost certainly some sort of motleyalloy, so don’t expect miracles- but the whole thing is reasonablysturdy. The head- called a “Video Ballhead” despite not having a ball- is pretty well damped, and the locks are good. This tripod is not going to change your life, unless your life’s dream is to own a tripod that’ll last you a couple of years. But if you need a well-priced video tripod of decent quality, this one could do the trick.
