Description
The Contax G1 is sometimes referred to as a rangefinder camera, but it’s not: it’s an autofocus camera with a manual scale focusing override. Before you “um actually” me, yes, it does technically have a rangefinder: that’s how the autofocus works. But there’s nooptical rangefinder patch for manual focusing like there might be in a Leica, just a little LCD segment that tells you if the autofocus system thinks you’re focused right. That’s fine! It’s a very good autofocus camera, with classic dial-based exposure controls and an interchangeable lens systemof some of the nicest Zeiss lenses out there. It’s like a more sophisticated Contax T2, or a film-based Fujifilm X100. This G1 is in excellent condition, with very minor LCD bleeding at the edges of the frame counter LCD (the big LCD is clear). It includes a Zeiss Planar T* 35mm f2 lens and a strap.
