Description
The Minolta Maxxum9000 was Minolta’s pro-caliber SLR in the early autofocus days, and it’s a real interesting one: it has full autofocus function but, unlike every other Maxxum camera, it has no motor drive built in, relying on good old-fashioned thumb winder. The rewind knob is my favourite rewind knob, which yes, I have a favourite rewind knob, I spend all day doing camera stuff so these things happen. Anyway, it looks and acts like a metering mode selector dial until you pull up on it; it’s connected by a pair of hinged rods, which you skew sideways to create a lever arm that you use for rewinding. It’s pretty sweet. Anyway, the camera is in good cosmetic condition, with some wear fromuse and handling; shutter speeds, metering and filmadvance are good. It’s compatible with Minolta AF lenses, whichare sold separately.
