Nikon 58mm f1.2 Noct-Nikkor

The Nikon 58mm f1.2 Noct-Nikkor is a very special lens, designed to be a no-compromises wide-open shooter. The aspherical element and high-index glass reduce spherical aberration and coma, so point light sources don’t smear or distort. Nikon has a nice writeup on their historical site.This Noct is in excellent cosmetic condition, with only minor paint wear; optics are free of haze or fungus. There is minor dust, and the rear element has an almost invisible coating mark on one edge which won’t affect imaging, but is worth mentioning because this is a Noct. Diaphragm is snappy, focusing has some unevenness. Not a “perfect” Noct, but still a great lens.
