Description

The Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 ED is a high quality film scanner for 35mm film. Unlike a flatbed scanner, a Coolscan scans the film directly- not through glass- for maximumdetail. Scan resolution is up to 4000dpi. Important note: this scanner connects via Firewire, not USB. You will need a computer with a Firewire connection (or the ability to use the included PCI Firewire card) to make this scanner work.Fully tested and working well. Includes the MA-20 slide adapter, SA-21 negative feeder, Firewire cable, power cord, and a PCI Firewire card for compatible PCs. Nikon does have software available for this scanner, and a CD is included if you want to do it old school- but compatibility is spotty with newer OS versions, so we recommend Vuescan or Silverfast software (not included).

Once again: connects via Firewire only, not USB.
