The level of magnification attained is dependent on the focal length range of the lens in use. Higher magnification can be achieved with longer focal lengths. The NiSi 58mm features a +5 diopter and is crafted from double-element optical correction glass with an apochromatic design. It also boasts a multi-nano coating.

This lens kit brings about an advanced resolution and natural colors with minimal chromatic aberration, providing excellent focus and bokeh. The Close-Up lens achieves a 1:1 magnification at a focal length of 120mm. The NiSi Close Up Lens exhibits no light fall off at 35mm on a full-frame sensor camera and 24mm on an APS-C sensor camera. The recommended working distance ranges from 9 to 22 centimeters, and this gets shorter when used with a macro lens.
