Description
Praktica BCS Electronic (SN: 0272340) + Pentacon 50mm f/1.8 MC
A compact East German SLR with a fast, multi-coated standard lens.
The Praktica BCS Electronic is a 35mm SLR camera from the late DDR-era, built by VEB Pentacon Dresden. It features electronic shutter control, aperture-priority auto exposure, and LED indicators in the viewfinder for quick and intuitive operation. The body uses the Praktica B-mount (electronic bayonet), introduced with the Praktica B-series, which allows for faster lens changes compared to M42 screw mounts.
Paired with the Pentacon 50mm f/1.8 Multi-Coated lens, this kit offers a bright and sharp standard field of view, great for portraits and everyday photography. The lens produces smooth bokeh and good contrast, and its multi-coating helps reduce flare.
