Description
This Rodenstock Imagon 250mm H5.8 lens is a relatively modern version of a classic soft focus lens, combining a simple doublet with interchangeable multi-aperture discs for softness control. You’ll notice the “H5.8” designation, which is meant to represent effective maximum aperture when the distinctive aperture discs are used: they’ve got a bunch of little holes instead of a standard single aperture, so I’m guessing that the “H” stands for “holes,” but don’t quote me on that. This lens is mounted in an accurate Compur 3 shutter, and includes three adjustable aperture discs, a yellow-green filter, a hood, and a 2-stop ND filter.
