The Sony A590 is a DSLR camera with a 14mp APS-C sensor, tilting screen, and a reasonably good EVF with a unique “quick-focus” system that uses the camera’s phase-detect sensors instead of attempting sensor-based contrast detection. How? Well, the live view mode doesn’t use the main sensor: it uses a secondary camera that points at the focusing screen, so the primary mirror stays down. Complicated, but it makes for a much quicker live view experience than most cameras of its generation. This camera is compatible with Sony DSLR and Minolta Maxxum lenses, but it’s not compatible with any Sony mirrorless lenses- that’s a different mount, despite sharing the “alpha” designation. Cosmetic condition is good overally, with some surface wear on the screen . Good imaging, good function. Includes battery, charger, and a Sony 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 SAM lens.
