The Voigtlander Macro APO-Lanthar 125mm f2.5 SL is an apochromatic lens with excellent chromatic aberration control- including the dreaded and hard-to-correct lateral chromatic aberration, where different colour shifts can occur in front of and behind the plane of focus. Great sharpness across the frame, too, and even if you don’t use the 1:1 macro capability, this makes for a superb short telephoto or portrait lens. Cosmetic condition is excellent, with minor finish wear. Focusing is smooth, diaphragm is clean. Optics are clear, but for light “schneideristis” at the edge of the rear elements: this is an issue with coatings around the outer rim of the element, not with the parts in the optical path, so there is no effect on imaging. Includes hood.
